Welcome from the Vice President

Welcome to Finance and Support Services at Texas State University-San Marcos! The mission of this division is to provide outstanding customer service and a challenging and satisfying work environment while maintaining the fiscal integrity of the university.  This is accomplished through clear and concise operating policies and procedures, good communication practices, enhanced use of technology, and exceptional stewardship of the University's financial, human and physical resources.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated staff of over 450 people in Finance and Support Services who provide the essential fiscal and administrative support to Texas State.  Texas State University-San Marcos is a public, student-centered, doctoral granting institution dedicated to excellence in serving the educational needs of the diverse population of Texas and the world beyond.  The Vice President for Finance and Support Services is the chief financial officer for the university and is specifically charged with advising the President, President's Cabinet, and Texas State University System Board of Regents on matters related to finance, business operations, facilities management, construction, and human resources.  Eight areas are housed under the auspices of Finance and Support Services, managing such diverse units as payroll, student accounts, employee benefits, the bookstore, food services, travel, campus maintenance and landscaping, budgeting, environmental safety, space planning, just to name a few.  The core values of customer service, financial integrity, and a safe and pleasant work environment provide the foundation for all that we do.
