The committee was charged in August 2004 with preparing recommendations for ways that employees in the FSS Division can participate in this new campus initiative. In October 2004, Mr. Nance approved the committee’s recommendations. Visit the Texas State Common Experience website.

The committee was able to host the following workshops and activities.
Shadow of Hate- Linda Sendaula and Joe Piazza presented two workshops in February and June 2005 as well as two video screenings on March 2nd and 8th in the year 2005.

Tools for Tolerance
· On January 11, 2005, Ms Sendaula presented the workshop to Extended BSC members
· On July 6, 2005, Ms. Sendaula and Mr. Piazza presented the workshop through Professional Development
· Mr. Piazza also discussed “Zero Tolerance” in 19 facilities training workshops to 127 employees

“Night” Discussions
· Joe Piazza incorporated the topic into 16 Facilities training sessions for 113 employees
· Over 100 books were distributed to FSS employees
· On December 11, 2004, VPFSS Nance held a book discussion
