One key tool that the FSS Diversity committee uses is the survey instrument. Surveys are used to assess the condition of the division in terms of diversity criteria and to provide a means of measurement of the effectiveness or progress of programs. Surveys are taken every three years. The next survey will be conducted in 2008.
