The Comal Building is one of the older buildings on Campus and is to be remodeled for Computer Science and Philosophy general classrooms and offices. Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Company was selected as the Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) in July, 2012.  The building served as the Education Building until 1977 at which time it became the Psychology Building.  Subsequent to the relocation of the Psychology department in June 2012, the building name was changed to Comal Building. The asbestos and lead paint study was completed in September, 2012. The design for the Comal Renovations project by Randall Scott Architects is complete. The 100% set of Construction Documents were completed in April, 2013. System issued the Notice to Proceed with the Construction Services on May 15, 2013. The furniture and finishes packages have been approved.
 
Status: The Comal Renovation project is progressing.  The exterior of the building is complete and the interior of the building is 90% complete.  The anticipated completion date is June, 2014.
