The Board selected Carl Walker, Inc. of Frisco to design the project in November 2005. Design of Phase II was delayed in order to complete Phase I (Speck Garage) design and start construction. This project is part of the North Campus Enhancement package. SpawGlass was selected as the CM@R. Survey and Geotechnical testing of the site has revealed very unstable and unsupportive soil conditions requiring special site prep and foundation considerations. The project includes an office structure for Parking Services. Design Development plans and a project budget were approved by the Board in August 2008, and a GMP approved in November 2008. Construction began in late December 2008. A continuing effort by the project team to reduce the overall project cost has resulted in a substantial cumulative savings of over $3 million.

Status: The construction is 45% complete.
