Extensive Streets and Grounds improvements are the fourth component of the project. Moon Street and Edward Gary Street will be expanded and modified for two-way traffic to accommodate the required traffic flow in the area. Moon Street will become a major boulevard entry point of the University and will be provided with entry gateway signage and structures suitable to its visual importance. A new Concho Street and Wood Street will be established and re-aligned for improved two-way traffic flow. The Streets and Grounds component will include extensive campus standard sidewalks, plazas and landscaping. Two parking lots on Moon Street and the abandoned Wood Street will be converted from “gray to green” with parks, gardens, walkways, and landscaping in compliance with the Campus Master Plan.
