Phases I and II included only essential upgrades needed to the theatrical spaces, stages, lighting, and rigging. Upon completion of the first two phases in January 2009, the contractors de-mobilized, cleaned and prepared the site for an regional theatre festival. After the Festival and the Theatre Department’s theatrical season, the University initiated the remaining phase III to complete the scope as originally planned. With assistance from TSUS, the Board approved phasing the project in three phases, allowing the Theatre Renovations to proceed under the Chancellor’s review.
Status: Phases I and II were completed on schedule. The final Phase III is 97% complete.
