The purpose of the building and room inventory is to:
- To maintain an up-to-date building and room inventory that is required by The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and state law. This information is used, in part, in calculating how much HEAF (Higher Education Assistance Fund) money Texas State gets annually and in calculating building replacement cost.
- To provide space documentation required of the Federal Government for use in developing the university’s Facilities and Administrative Cost Rate.
- To provide information for internal assessment of space allocations and utilization.
