01. PURPOSE

01.01

Because of the diversity of responsibilities involved in major construction projects, a method is needed to schedule and coordinate the many individual events and activities required for such projects.

02. INITIATION OF PROJECTS

02.01	The following individuals will be responsible for appropriate items on the attached schedule: a. Vice President for Finance and Support Services b. Director of Facilities Planning, Design & Construction c. Associate Vice President for Facilities d. Associate Vice President for Finance and Suport Services Planning
02.02	The Director of Facilities Planning, Design & Construction will prepare a schedule for each proposed major capital construction project upon notification of project approval from the VPFSS and provide a copy to each individual listed in Section 02.01.
02.03	Each individual with responsibilities listed on the schedule will review the schedule and make appropriate notations concerning work items in his/her area of responsibility.

03. UPDATE OF CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULING

03.01

The Director of Facilities Planning, Design & Construction will maintain and submit to the VPFSS on a quarterly basis for the President and Vice Presidents' review a status report on major capital construction projects.

This FSS/PPS has been approved by the following individuals in their official capacities, and represents FSS policy and procedure from the date of this document until superseded.
