01. POLICY STATEMENTS
| 01.01 | The purpose of this PPS is to provide policy and procedure remitting interest earned on the J.C. Kellam Bobcat Fund (agency account # 1416000000,9001081000) to the Texas State Bobcat Club. |
| 01.02 | While there are no documents from President Lyndon B. Johnson or the Johnson Family Foundation on the distribution of interest earned on the J.C. Kellam Bobcat Fund, all information in the file, including a letter dated August 17, 1972, from Mr. Billy Mac Jones, President of Southwest Texas State University, to Mr. Leo Chafin, President of the Texas State Bobcat Club, indicates that it was the intent of President Johnson that the Texas State Bobcat Club must raise an amount each year equal to the total interest earned on the J. C. Kellam Bobcat Fund to be entitled to receive the interest. |
| 01.03 | The J. C. Kellam Bobcat Fund will be invested, in a manner consistent with university investment policy, so that a maximum return will be realized and credited, at least annually, to the fund. |
02. PROCEDURE FOR DISBURSING FUNDS TO THE TEXAS STATE BOBCAT CLUB
| 02.01 | On or before December 15, of each year, the Treasurer will determine the total amount of interest earned on the J. C. Kellam Bobcat Fund for the previous fiscal year ending August 31. The Treasurer will send a letter to the university's Athletic Director, notifying the Club of the amount earned on the investment and the requirement which must be met by the club to secure the funds. |
| 02.02 | The Treasurer will contact the Director, Donor Relations, to certify that the Club has raised an amount of funds during the previous fiscal year ending August 31, which is equal to or greater than the amount of interest earned during that time period. |
| 02.03 | After certification, the Treasurer will request a payment to the Texas State Bobcat Club for the interest earned for the year ending August 31.
